This myth isn’t really as entertaining as others I’ve heard . Some parts don’t really make sense to me. Like the part where it says you can still see the muskrats paw on the turtles back. The marks on turtle shells don’t look anything like muskrat paws. Also what was the water standing on once the rat pulled up earth? It couldn’t just be levitating could it? The final part was when it said that the lady let the seeds and that’s when live on earth started but that doesn’t make sense because live was already in the water that was on top of earth.

Getting to know new people is very important. Humans are social animals, We have to be with other people. One reason meeting new people is important is because later on those people might be able to help you out in life. For example, my friends dad is a landscaper and thanks to my friend he gave me a summer job. Another reason is that every person is different. They all have different experiences and different perspectives that you can learn and become wiser from. When I was working with my friends dad one of his employees had barely came out of prison, and he told me all these stories about how life in prison was. He was a pretty small guy so i asked him if he was ever scared to get in a fight.  He kind of dodged my question but he told me something that really stuck to me. In a fight the outcome doesn’t matter, he knew he was a small guy but that never stopped him. He told me that even if you lose the fight you still get respected by the other inmates because you showed you had heart

When I was in 6th grade I was really into reading. We didn’t have a tv so I Needed some way to entertain myself. I would usually just take naps or go outside. But one day I decided to just pick up a book and read. I loved it, it took me out of my life and took me into a new world. the book I was reading was Harry Potter and the sorcers stone. From that day forward I would just get home and read . I’d read 50-100 pages a day . It was great. I don’t read anymore though, sometimes I want to read but I just get distracted by my phone or other things. I have some love for the  Harry Potter series I hope to one day pick up where I left off and finish the series.

Today Dr Preston told us to write about people’s diction. What words do people use , how do they use them ,and how do we perceive them because of that. When I was younger I would cuss a lot. There was no real reason to but I thought that somehow made me “cool” little by little though I stop cussing because as I matured I realized cussing just made me sound ignorant and vulgar. Don’t get me wrong I still cuss but, now I cuss only when I feel like cussing would help me express myself in a certain situation . I no longer cuss just for the sake of cussing.

My daily schedule goes something like this ,I  wake up at 7:30 then go to school. When I come out of school I go home and from 3:15 to 5:30 I just watch YouTube and tv while my mom gets home and makes dinner. Once I eat dinner I wait till 7:30 to go to the gym. I stay at the gym till around 9:30 then go home. I shower and sleep. So my dominant time allocation I’d say would be spending time. I have big goals but now that I see how I spend my time, I realized I’m not going to get nowhere near my goals if I don’t make a change.

One thing I’ve done well in this course is writing in my journal. Whenever I write in my journal I always remember things from my past. I don’t necessarily mean mean my childhood or years back, but I remember things that happened to me earlier in the week or something from the morning.  Remembering those simple memories brings me joy. I’m not really proud though because my journal is all the work I do for this class. This post should of been about my procrastination abilities rather than my journal but oh well.

Today I am writing to be understood. I’m not just writing to get my points for the day or to create more content for my blog. I’m writing to be understood. I want my readers to get what I am trying to get across my writing. I want people to understand why I use certain words and how they bring value to my writing. Writing with a meaning really is easier. When I write just to fill up a page I usually tend to spend a larger amount of time revising and reviewing my work. When I write with meaning I don’t do as much changes or spend as much time. My writing becomes more efficient and effective. I spend less time writing and my readers actually understand my point of view.

The author uses both simple and complex diction, and various types of sentences. His attitude is very passionate and determined. He uses the simple language to intrigue readers and then uses the complex language to show he is smart.

When I was younger like around 6th or 5th grade essays were easy for me to write. I would take me one or two hours tops. I’d take the essay to class the next day and Everything was good. As I entered jr high, essays got a little harder to write and I started becoming a little more lazy. I wouldn’t do some of the essays I got assigned , but when I did they were still A level essays. The minute I stepped into high school essays started becoming more confusing, I would forget what needed to be in the introductory paragraph, I didn’t really understand the meaning of a hook anymore and when I would write my body paragraphs I would forget what I was talking about. After I finished my essay. I would read back over my work and it wouldn’t make any sense to me at all, but  I wouldn’t really care though. My essay seemed good enough for a C. That was good enough for me.
